Hit "Claim" on the listing or go to /claim/<listing>. You're now in the verification flow. This is where you prove you actually run the company.
PICK YOUR PROOF
Choose one method. Any of these work:
- Get a secret link sent to your company domain email. Click it.
- Drop a DNS TXT record on your root domain.
- Slap a meta tag on your homepage.
- Upload a small verification file to your website.
Done it? Submit. Codes expire after 14 days. If yours died, start over.
WHAT THE VERIFIED BADGE MEANS
You own the listing now (if it was unclaimed). You can edit everything. You get the Verified badge next to your name.
Verified means one thing: you control the domain. Not for sale. Not the same as paid placement or community votes. Just proof that you're actually you.
Questions people ask
- What if my verification code runs out?
- Codes expire after 14 days. Start the claim process again and pick a fresh verification method.
- Does Verified mean I paid for anything?
- No. Verified only proves you control the domain. It's separate from paid slots and votes.
- Can I claim a listing that's already been claimed?
- No. Only unclaimed listings can be claimed. If someone else owns it, you can't take it.
